Jo Daviess County Health Department - Medical Reserve Corps

Join the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) of Jo Daviess County Health Department. The Medical Reserve Corp is a program to create local volunteers to provide assistance to public health departments in their communities during a public health emergency or disaster.  Volunteers come from medical and non-medical backgrounds.  There is no required special training to be eligible to become a volunteer. In case of a natural disaster, a public health emergency or terrorist activity, duties would be assigned according to the volunteer’s abilities and the needs of the community.  Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers would play an important role in emergency management by helping to reinstate the emotional and physical well being of those who are affected by any disaster.
