BOARD OF REVIEW

Please be advised that the Board of Review minutes are sequential throughout the year.  The Board opens its assessment cycle process in June of the current assessment year and recesses until the next meeting.  This procedure is done until the Board adjourns for the year.  Once the Board opens its session for the current year and approves the draft minutes of the previous year, those minutes will then be finalized and posted.  The current assessment year minutes will be posted as draft minutes once the Board is adjourned for the year.

FARMLAND ASSESSMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE

The Jo Daviess County Farmland Review Committee consists of 5 members: the Chief County Assessment Officer, the Jo Daviess County Board of Review Chairman, and 3 farmers appointed by the Chairman of the Jo Daviess County Board.

The current member of the Jo Daviess County Farmland Review Committee are:
Laura Edmonds, Chairman

Tony Berning, Member
Dave Diedrich, Member 

The County Farmland Assessment Review Committee is established by the Illinois Property Tax Code for the purpose of advising the Chief County Assessment Officer on the interpretation and application of the State-certified farmland values and implementation of farmland assessment procedures. On or about June 1 of each assessment year, the Committee holds a public hearing on the equalized assessed values of farmland proposed by the Illinois Department of Revenue and the implementation of the farmland assessment procedures proposed by the Chief County Assessment Officer. Committee members serve until a successor is appointed

THE ANNUAL TOWNSHIP ASSESSOR MEETING

This annual meeting is held per the Illinois Property Tax Code.  This meeting is held by January 1 of each year, assemble all assessors and their deputies for consultation and shall instruct them in uniformity of their functions.  These instructions shall be in writing and available to the public.
